The "scene":
This was the only costume like this in the band. I'm not sure if he was some sort of "head of the band" or something?
Each Section (different costume) had an elaborate full blown costume. The one on the right was the head of our section (there's a male and female version in each section). We were called "The Last Samurai". The whole band had the theme of Lights, Camera, Action - so each section was a different movie character theme. (Trace, you would love the costume part of it - and we've got our costumes for the next time up to Temagami!!!)

You're right - I am so envious of the awesome costumes! I'm definitely putting Carnival in the hat for the 2009 Labour Day theme...or coming in person if you're still there next year.
And a weird small world moment. The bookkeeper at Fife House, her brother's band won the whole thing! She just got back to Canada on Tuesday.
